Step Up to Leadership is a lifeline for Young Men in Charlotte and nearby areas, offering tailored support to navigate academic, social, and personal challenges.
Our program addresses the critical determinants outlined in the Leading on Opportunity Task Force report: college and career readiness, family safety and stability, and social and personal development. By providing mentorship and fostering diverse support networks, we empower Young Men to excel academically, thrive socially, and grow personally, paving the way for a brighter future.
We serve young adults ages 12-18 through our intensive (STEP UP TO LEADERSHIP mentoring program) and (Young Adult Transition Program). 100% of our young adults are African American male 88% receive free or reduced lunch. During this current program year, we are projected to serve more than 250 individuals in our programs and projected to serve 350 additional people through our youth led service projects.
Sponsorship funds will help us implement our Mentoring Programs and with a focus on building soft skills that will enhance an individual personal and social development. Step Up to Leadership, our impactful programs are made possible through the generous support of sponsors and major gift donors like you.
